Star Wars Rebels’ Voice Actress Speculates A Rogue One Ending For Series

While neatly tying in Rogue One with the very beginning of the original Star Wars movie, A New Hope, director Gareth Edwards also added in a few cameos that would connect the standalone movie to Star Wars Rebels.

Fans were quick to catch Hera's last name being called out on Yavin 4's loudspeaker after Felicity Jone's Jyn Erso breaks the news about her father's allegiance and plans to the Rebel Alliance Council and were able to spot Chopper on the rebel base. However, while the film did confirm the presence of thee Ghost ship at the Battle of Scarif, the fate of the rest of the team remains largely uncertain.

Now, as Star Wars Rebels approaches its fourth Sabine voice actress Tiya Sircar tells Comicbook what she feels now that the series is coming to an end.

"It's pretty sad, I'm not gonna lie to you. It's sad to us, as well. I'm won't speak for everyone, but, oh my gosh. I was floored when we found out. I wasn't expecting it. I was just shellshocked, is the word I used."

Sircar talks about how she would react if the series gave an ending similar to Rogue One.

"I will say this: my own conjecture, if our ending is something Rogue One-esque, just say. We're not there, only Hera is there, so who knows where we are, and what if it is something like that? So my mind started to wander and, if it IS something like that, I don't know if I would feel more heartbroken at the loss of these characters or because I feel so strongly about these people that I would feel like it was happening to them. This is all conjecture and it's just my crazy mind trying to figure out how things are going to end for us."

While Sircar's discussion is mostly just her personal speculation, it would come as no surprise if Rebels ended on a painful note. After all, Filoni and the rest of the team have been teasing a darker season for the series. We'll all have to wait and see what becomes of Ezra, Sabine and the rest of the Ghost crew in the final season of Rebels.

Star Wars Rebels season 4 premieres with a one-hour event on DisneyXD on September 23, 2017.
