Star Wars: Rahul Kohli Addresses Cryptic Ezra Bridger Tweets

There is little doubt that people are currently convinced that Rahul Kohli has been cast as the live-action Ezra Bridger in an upcoming Star Wars project. After all, the iZombie star has been teasing about it in several tweets. Interestingly, Kohli has finally made an official statement about the possible casting.

Kohli recently spoke to Inverse where he decided to address all those cryptic tweets.

"You aren't going to ask about Ezra Bridger, are you?" Kohli asked before getting serious. "I was trolling. I heard rumors that there was a casting call looking for a live-action Ezra that was looking for Asian actors in their late twenties, early thirties."

Kohli went on to explain that he is a huge fan of Star Wars Rebels and got the idea from watching the show.

"I had watched a bit of Rebels that morning, so it was fresh in my mind. I was going to the gym and I thought I'd fire off a cheeky tweet," he stated.

Not surprisingly, Kohli also confessed that he "became an actor because of Star Wars." However, Ezra isn't exactly the role he would want if he ended up joining the franchise.

"I would be in the background of the cantina if that's what it took ... But if I had a preference, I used to love Kyle Katarn from the Jedi Knights series," Kohli admitted.

This is sad news for everyone who has been hoping that we finally have our Ezra. On the other hand, that means that the role of the Jedi is still up in the air and could be cast soon.

Kohli appears in The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
