Star Wars Prequel Fans Turn Emotional After Seeing Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Opening Recap

After a three-year wait, Lucasfilm finally premiered the standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi series and so far, the fan reception to the first two episodes of the Ewan McGregor-led show has been beyond favorable. Leaving the fandom wanting more, we can already say that it exceeded everyone's expectations.

You can totally tell that the project is a massive love letter to the folks who grew up with the prequel trilogy and right before Obi-Wan's story "resumes", viewers were treated to an opening recap which also gives newer audiences an idea of what took place during Episodes I to III all leading up to the events of the series.

Naturally, some fans couldn't help but feel equally emotional and nostalgic as the said recap, which chronicles The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith felt like a stroll down memory lane. Check out some of the reactions below:

It's quite fitting that Obi-Wan Kenobi not only debuted during Star Wars Celebration but also on the month when diehards celebrate 45 years since the theatrical debut of the film that started it all — A New Hope. We've said this a number of times already, if you're a true blue fan of the Skywalker saga, you owe it to yourself to see this show.

So far, the show has been great. The 5-minute recap alone is enough to send chills down your spine. Hopefully, the momentum is sustained as the series progresses.
