Star Wars Planet Reveals Leia’s Secret Hide Out In Star Wars: Episode IX

Lucasfilm might be trying its best to keep Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's secrets under wraps now that the film is slowly approaching its December release, but there have been plenty of rumors and leaks about the final Star Wars sequel trilogy circulating online.

Now, a new spoiler for The Rise of Skywalker is circulating online, and this time it's thanks to Disney's new Star Wars theme park, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The park offers an interactive experience with video recordings of the sequel trilogy's main characters, and in one video we get to see Rey (Daisy Ridley) revealing that Leia actually has a secret base on the abandoned planet, Bakura (via Inverse).

So, General Organa (the late Carrie Fisher) has settled down with the remaining members of the Resistance in Bakura. It might not seem much, but now we have the name of the planet where Leia and the Resistance are hiding in after the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi where the rebels get ruthlessly chased down by the Resistance.

Bakura isn't a new planet by the way. The terrestrial planet appears in flashbacks in Star Wars: Republic: Trackdown and it gets mentioned in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In George Lucas's rough draft for Star Wars: The Revenge of the Sith, Grievous also mentions the planet, referring to Anakin Skywalker as the "young hero of Bakura."

Now, we can't wait to see what Bakura looks like face to face when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres on December 20, 2019.
