Star Wars Actor Pedro Pascal Admits the Difficulty of Filming with Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian

Pedro Pascal might be the lead star of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, however, Din Djarin's lost the spotlight to Baby Yoda ever since The Child made an appearance in the hit Star Wars live-action series.

Speaking in an interview with Digital Spy, Pascal opens up about the challenges he faces working on The Mandalorian, and it turns out that having Baby Yoda around isn't that easy for the Star Wars actor.

Admitting that filming can be a bit difficult, Pascal teases "Especially not with Baby Yoda!"

Apparently, working with a doll on set poses its own challenges.

"It's like carrying the crown around that set," the actor jokes, "except that it makes everybody go: ‘Goo goo gag a."

It seems like Baby Yoda's mesmerized the entire cast and crew of The Mandalorian, even if he's just a doll on the set of the series. We wouldn't be surprised though. Baby Yoda is utterly adorable with his wide doe eyes and that adorable look of confusion as he watches Mando flying the Razor Crest.

Of course, Baby Yoda isn't the only challenge Pascal has working on the series. Din Djarin's armor can also pose some trouble.

"For me, it's not so much breaking a prop but accidentally walking into walls and falling into holes because I had no peripheral vision," Pascal says. "And the width, with all the added armour, is… you know, it takes up more room than I'm used to. It can be a funny sight."

Mando's armor looks pretty bulky, so we can imagine that Pascal has a bit of trouble moving around, even after filming scenes for The Mandalorian.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 1 is available for streaming on Disney+. The second season is set to premiere sometime later this year.
