Star Wars: Official Disney Plus Twitter Page Makes Fun of Sequel Trilogy

The Star Wars sequel trilogy has been divisive among fans. There are people who enjoyed the films while there are some who despised them. Even with the mixed reception of the trilogy, they were still a huge box office hit as each of them grossed at least a billion dollars. It's not exactly a reflection of what fans think about the trilogy, but it indicates that there are a lot of people out there who support the franchise.

Recently, there's a new trend on Twitter where users would tweet an opinion or behavior that are considered "red flags" followed by multiple red flag emojis. Now, the official Twitter page of Disney+ Latin America has joined the bandwagon with a tweet that seemingly makes fun of the sequel trilogy. They wrote in the tweet, "The latest Star Wars trilogy is the best" and then it was followed by multiple red flag emojis. As of the time of this writing, the tweet has not been deleted.

We can assume that the handler of the Twitter page is aware of the divisiveness of the sequel trilogy which is why they joked about it. We don't know if it was really intentional by the Disney+ Latin America social media team or not, but the fact that it hasn't been taken down means that it was an officially sanctioned approved post. It is most likely just a joke poking fun at certain groups of the Star Wars fandom, but it is something that is worth acknowledging especially since we know that the sequel trilogy has been divisive and fans are still discussing its merits up to this day.
