Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Actor Shares Details About Possible Cameo

People already have high hopes about the Obi-Wan Kenobi series although there is still a lot about the Star Wars show that we don't know. For instance, there are several confirmed cast members whose roles remain undisclosed. For instance, we don't know who Maya Erskine will be playing in the Star Wars series but she did share details about a possible cameo to look forward to next year.

Erskine was the last cast member to be announced for Obi-Wan Kenobi when production had already started and it was confirmed she will appear in at least three episodes. During filming, the PEN15 star revealed that she was able to bring someone special into the set of the Star Wars show.

"I got to bring my baby to set," Erskine said during a recent episode of the Just for Variety podcast. She then added that the infant almost had a role to play in the series.

"I wanted to wrap him in a shawl and have him pass as an extra in Star Wars," Erskine said.

It actually sounds possible considering that Erskine also confirmed that Kenobi hired Star Wars fans to play the extras. It's an awesome way to include fans in the show and allow them to experience the universe up close.

Obi-Wan Kenobi brings back Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Joel Edgerton, and Bonnie Piesse who are all reprising their roles from the Star Wars prequel trilogy movies. They will be joined by Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

For now, Obi-Wan Kenobi has not yet been given an official release date. However, the upcoming Star Wars series is already confirmed to consist of six episodes which are expected to premiere on Disney+ in early 2022. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
