Star Wars: New High Republic Saga Possibly Teased in Kylo Ren Comics

In case you missed it, there have been reports that the next Star Wars saga will take place 400 years in the past and could follow the events that happened during the High Republic era. Amazingly, it looks like this idea is being confirmed by a comic book.

The new comics Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren #2 has just been dropped and it offers an interesting look at Ben Solo's early days before he was seduced into the Dark Side of the Force (via ScreenRant). In one particular scene, Ben joins Luke Skywalker and Lor San Tekka in finding a Jedi outpost that happens to be "so far outside the core." Tekka then mentions to Luke that "it's probably of The High Republic Era... a time of greatly expanded Jedi activity throughout the galaxy."

It's a perfectly timed hint at what fans could look forward to in the next Star Wars films. Although it doesn't necessarily mean that the new stories will be connected to what happened in the Skywalker Saga, it's still interesting that Luke and Tekka are the ones who dropped a clue about the future.

The new Star Wars saga was initially supposed to be a major project for Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss before the duo dropped out from their films. For now, it's still unclear who will take over but we can't wait to get new updates about the movies.

Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren #2 was written by Charles Soule and is now available on digital.
