There's no denying that the Star Wars franchise was reinvigorated by The Mandalorian and after two successful seasons, fans are still invested in the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu aka Baby Yoda. Now, the dynamic duo is ready to make a huge crossover from television to comics, and this week, they'll officially be joining the Marvel universe.

Marvel Comics is finally releasing its long-awaited comic book adaptation of The Mandalorian's first season this Wednesday (via ComicBook) and ahead of its release, we're getting ourselves a little preview of what to expect. As for the differences between the show and the comic, apart from the overall aesthetic, nothing really changed and Marvel even got everything down to the character's dialogues which is quite impressive.

It'll be interesting to see though if Mando's comic book run will contain stuff we didn't see in the series but it would be safe to assume that's the actual case. Check out some of the preview images for Star Wars: The Mandalorian #1 below:

The show's massive crossover to the world of comics no longer comes as a surprise and if anything, it will open the doors for Lucasfilm to tell more MandoVerse-centric stories down the line, even after the show is finished. Now, considering The Mandalorian has become a multi-platform attraction, would it be too much to ask for a feature-length film?

Written by Rodney Barnes with artwork from George Geanty, Star Wars: The Mandalorian #1 is available in your favorite comic book stores beginning July 13th. Meanwhile, the show's third season is expected to hit Disney+ in February 2023.
