Star Wars: Mark Hamill Teases Going Back to Work During Labor Day

Labor Day is usually a time where people get to stretch their legs and not work but that doesn't appear to be the case for Mark Hamill. The Luke Skywalker actor went to Twitter and went on about how lucky most Americans are for being able to enjoy the holiday at home, as the actor has to work. With Star Wars: Episode IX set for release late next year, it's easy to assume that this is the movie he will be working on.

Hamill probably isn't too mad about having to work since he will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker after playing him again in The Last Jedi. The extent of his work in Episode IX is still unknown since most of us thought Luke died at the end of the last movie. Hamill had joked about Luke actually just transferring himself somewhere else but that clearly isn't the case.

Most fans are expecting to see Hamill as a spirit ala Obi-Wan Kenobi during Return of The Jedi. We might also be able to expect a flashback or two since this is the last movie in the current trilogy. Plus, it would be cool seeing him reunite with Yoda in this form and maybe make a joke about being a ghost.

Star Wars: Episode IX is coming out on December 20, 2019, continuing the tradition of making Star Wars a Christmas/holiday movie.
