Star Wars: Mark Hamill Reveals Hilarious Jar Jar Binks Candy

One of the best things about the release of new Star Wars films is usually the awesome merchandise that goes along with it. However, that doesn't mean that all these goodies were great ideas. Mark Hamill has just found a terrible Jar Jar Binks candy that may have been launched along with The Phantom Menace.

Hamill shared a photo of the candy on his official Twitter account. Not surprisingly, the image was a little too much for some fans. Check it out below.

"Special Shout Out To The All-Time King Of Peculiar Playthings: 1- The French-Kissing Jar Jar Candy," Hamill wrote before adding the hashtag #MeesoTasty. We're not sure who came up with the idea for this candy but we have a lot of questions for them.

Although the candy might not exactly be something you would want to give to your children, Jar Jar was clearly a character introduced in the prequel trilogy that was expected to please young fans. Unfortunately, the Jar Jar backlash proved to have a terrible effect on actor Ahmed Best.

Best has since admitted that he contemplated suicide after all the hate for his character. Luckily, he was able to deal with his depression and even attended the most recent Star Wars Celebration where he was welcomed by fans.

We won't be seeing Jar Jar again soon (at least not in the movies) but Hamill is currently set to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Let's just hope that there won't be any weird candies associated with Luke later this year.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled for release on December 20.
