When you think about Star Wars, the name Luke Skywalker instantaneously comes to mind and it's quite astonishing how the beloved Jedi continues to be involved in the franchise through the MandoVerse. Since making his hair-raising return in The Mandalorian Season 2's finale, Luke has become somewhat of a fixture in the MandoVerse and it was even rumored that he'll be headlining his own Disney+ series.

As it stands, we still don't know if the rumored Luke Skywalker series will actually happen but fans have been clamoring for Marvel actor Sebastian Stan to take over the role. The Winter Soldier actor even got Hamill's blessing and it seemed like it was only a matter of time before he joined the science-fiction franchise.

However, it looks like the OG Luke himself isn't done playing the part and according to a new rumor, Hamill is set to appear in an upcoming spinoff series. The folks over at Giant Freakin Robot report that Hamill has signed on to return as Luke in Ahsoka, marking the third time he's appeared in the MandoVerse.

Details surrounding Hamill's rumored involvement in the show weren't disclosed so, of course, it's best to take this report with a huge grain of salt. But considering how fans were delighted to see Luke and Ahsoka share some screen time, the idea isn't exactly farfetched to believe.

Luke and Ahsoka crossed paths for the first time in The Book of Boba Fett and since then, Star Wars fans have been clamoring to see more of them together. It's worth noting though that the MandoVerse spinoff series seemingly ended Luke's stint after Grogu refused to join the Jedi Academy but that's not to say that he's no longer needed in the franchise.

Star Wars: Ahsoka is expected to hit Disney+ sometime in 2023.
