Star Wars: Mark Hamill Reacts To 'Luke Sky Walker' Being Wanted By The Police

It's no secret that parents would choose to name their child after someone they admire. Unfortunately for one man named Luke Sky Walker, his Star Wars-inspired name is now going viral after it was reported that he is wanted by the police for property theft. Not surprisingly, it didn't take long before Mark Hamill heard about it, and boy, does he have a lot to say about the situation.

Hamill shared the news about Walker on his official Twitter page. And since this is THE Mark Hamill we are talking about, there was no shortage of hilarious puns. Take a look at his tweet below.

"The sequel that nobody asked for & no one wants to see," Hamill wrote. He then added the hashtags #LarcenousLuke and #TheSheriffStrikesBack.

If you're wondering why Hamill is referring to a sequel, this isn't the first time that Walker made the news. He was actually arrested back in December 2018 and yes, the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor made some A New Hope references to that as well.

"The real crime here is Mr. & Mrs. Walker saddling this poor guy with that name in the first place," Hamill wrote. He added the hashtag #MisbegottenMoniker and #AlsoTooShortForAStormtrooper.

In the report by WKYC, it was revealed that the Carter County Sheriff's Office had issued an arrest warrant for Walker. The 22-year-old faces a charge of property theft over $1,000.

Hamill will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker, who is definitely not wanted by the police, in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The film will premiere on December 20.
