Star Wars Land Official Name Reportedly Revealed

Aside from the film series, one of the most highly anticipated offerings of the Star Wars franchise is Star Wars Land.

Rumors about the attractions inside the park have circulated for quite some time now and the park officially broke ground last week complete with a 360-degree image. However, the theme park's official name has remained unknown. Well, now a new source claims to have knowledge of the official name of the place.

Ready? Star Wars Land will reportedly be called The Star Wars Experience.

This name has been revealed by Disney reporter Jim Hill via Disney Dish podcast's latest edition.

The theme park will reportedly be different that the typical theme park in that it will be a completely immersive experience that will take guests into the world of Star Wars.

If this is true, it would align to a report that the theme park could be incorporating virtual reality into its attractions.

This name remains a speculation until confirmed by Disney, but it's worth noting that the name isn't the first time ever mentioned. Harrison Ford also cited the name during the Wonderful World of Disney‘s Disneyland 60 special.

Now, Jim Hill confirms that someone told him it would be the new title of the theme park, as well as how the new area will be a planet located in the outer rim of the Star Wars galaxy.

I'm not convinced that The Star Wars Experience is an attractive name for park goers. Personally, it sounds more like an exhibit than a theme park.

Fortunately, the name hasn't been officially confirmed by Disney-Lucasfilm yet, so it can still change.
