Star Wars Just Made Captain Marvel Star Brie Larson An Honorary Jedi

Who wouldn't want to be a Jedi? Captain Marvel star Brie Larson certainly does and it looks like she achieved just that. Star Wars has heard about Larson's dream and has somehow made her an honorary Jedi.

Larson had recently told Entertainment Weekly that she wishes she was a Jedi. The Marvel Cinematic Universe actress revealed that her Captain Marvel co-star Samuel L. Jackson allowed her to wield his lightsaber and it was an amazing experience for her.

"I got to hold his lightsaber! He brought it to me on set on May the 4th, and I cried. It was so cool. I wanna be a Jedi," Larson admitted. Not surprisingly, the official Star Wars Twitter account heard about it and assured Larson she is welcome in the Star Wars Universe. Take a look at the tweet below.

It didn't take long before Larson herself saw the message. She immediately responded to the tweet in delight.

"Honored to be an intergalactic hero with you," Larson wrote before adding a smiley face.

We're certainly happy for Larson and hope that we could also wield a real lightsaber someday. Perhaps we can all eventually build our own weapons at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

The synopsis for Captain Marvel reads as follows:

"Set in 1995, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with questions about her past and identity when Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds."

Catch Larson in action as Carol Danvers when Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8.
