Star Wars: Jon Favreau Offers Awesome Update on The Mandalorian Season 2

There is little doubt that Star Wars fans are currently concerned that The Mandalorian Season 2 will be delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, creator Jon Favreau has some good news for you. The second season of the Disney+ series is right on schedule.

Favreau recently took part in a virtual panel for the ATX Television Festival where he offered an update on The Mandalorian Season 2 (via The Hollywood Reporter).

"We were lucky enough to have finished photography before the lock down. Thanks to how technology-forward Lucasfilm and ILM are, we have been able to do all of our visual effects and editing and postproduction remotely through systems that had been set up by those companies for us," Favreau said.

This is exactly what fans are hoping to hear considering that there have been concerns about The Mandalorian not being completed in time for its highly anticipated return later this year. Luckily, we will only need to wait a few more months before we get to see what happens to Din Djarin and Baby Yoda.

For now, it's still unclear what will happen in the second season but the recent casting news have been getting people excited. It was previously confirmed that Star Wars prequel actor Temuera Morrison will be joining the cast as an older Boba Fett. Needless to say, it looks like Season 2 will bring back some characters we have already met and could continue with their storyline.

The Mandalorian Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to premiere on Disney+ by October.
