Star Wars: Jon Favreau Confirms The Mandalorian Is NOT Ending Soon

There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to The Mandalorian Season 3 next week but what can we expect for the Star Wars series beyond the current year? Creator Jon Favreau claims that the hit show doesn't have a set ending just yet and that it could last for several future seasons.

Jon Favreau has previously confirmed that the fourth season of The Mandalorian is already in development. But is it possible that the series is coming to an end soon? Favreau was a guest on the Inside Total Film podcast where he confirmed that although he is almost done introducing characters who will be getting their own shows, he has yet to figure out Din Djarin and Grogu's endgame (via GamesRadar).

"I think the beauty of this is that it's a middle chapter of a much larger story. And though we'll have resolution over time with these characters, I think that how these characters fit into the larger scope and scale, but it's not like there's a finale that we're building to that I have in mind," Favreau said. "Quite the contrary, I love for these stories to go on and on."

"These characters potentially could be with us for a while, and I really love telling stories in their voice, and I love the way the adventures unfold and I'm looking forward to doing much more," he added.

This is comforting news considering that we love The Mandalorian and it would be nice to stretch the series out into another two or three seasons. Let's hope that Jon Favreau has something great planned out for the Star Wars series.

The Mandalorian Season 3 will feature Din Djarin and Grogu taking the trip to Mandalore and that means we'll be seeing more Mandalorians than ever before. The third season of the Star Wars series will finally premiere on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
