Fans weren't exactly holding on to their seats when EA announced Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. All we got was a title reveal and no gameplay, so fans are still waiting for a trailer or two before they decide to be impressed. Plus, given how much of a mess the launch of Star Wars Battlefront 2 was, fans will remain cautious of EA and their games.
With all that being said, new details have emerged regarding Jedi: Fallen Order from the Making Star Wars podcast and it could end up being a quality game. Apparently, Fallen Order will have some similarities to the underrated Force Unleashed games, which should please fans of those 6th gen titles.
To be more specific, the podcast mentions how it will be like Force Unleashed but without the "mountain dew qualities." The first game did sort of have an edgy "please take me seriously" kind of vibe to it so avoiding that would be great.
Jedi: Fallen Order will supposedly follow a young Padawan who managed to survive Order 66. The game will follow the main series canon and won't have an overpowered Jedi who can kill seven billion stormtroopers by himself ala Starkiller. It sounds a lot like Kanan's backstory from Rebels, though we can expect a slightly more mature take on the story.
No release date or gaming consoles were named for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
