Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Was Designed to Keep Players ‘On Edge’

November is almost here, and that means we're closer to the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. After the whole fiasco with Battlefront II, developers are trying their best to deliver a top tier Star Wars game, and director Stig Asmussen talks a bit about how they've designed the platformer.

According to Asmussen, he wants to keep the player challenged during the gameplay. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, he says, "One of the things that's unique is our time period… Cal's being hunted. He's been cast as essentially a witch and people aren't pulling any punches. We want the player to be on edge, to feel like they need to fight back. It's a real David versus Goliath story."

When footage of the game came out earlier this year, a lot of people were worried that Fallen Order's protagonist Cal Kestis was too powerful. The good news is, some people who have tested the game early say that the game is sticking to keeping Cal grounded, and things won't be as easy to get through like the Force Unleashed games.

Here's some in-game footage from Star Wars Explained:

While I do love how Battlefront II has fixed itself, I'm sure there are a lot of fans excited for a traditional 3D platformer with lightsabers and the Force. Let's hope EA doesn't disappoint because the internet will be in one hell of rage if they somehow botch this release.
