Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Sequel Reportedly in Development at Respawn Entertainment

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a huge success when it released last year. Not only did Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars action-adventure game offer gamers an exciting new adventure, but it also offered Star Wars fans a brand new story set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

Now, according to a new report by Star Wars entertainment news outlet Bespin Bulletin, Respawn Entertainment is currently developing a sequel to Fallen Order. The project has been tentatively called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 and has apparently been in development since Respawn completed work on the first action-adventure game. The game is slated to release sometime in 2022.

This is interesting news given that the site mentions Star Wars Battlefront III being put back on the shelf (apparently DICE wants to focus on the development on a new Battlefield game). This means that if Bespin Bulletin's reports are proven true, then EA is prioritizing on the development of Fallen Order before the third Battlefront game.

It wouldn't come as quite a shock though if EA were to opt against developing Battlefront III. Gamers might remember the backlash that EA faced when it released Star Wars: Battlefront II back in 2017. Sure, the game might have eventually evolved into one of the best Star Wars games from EA, but Battlefront II suffered from a very poor start thanks to EA's lootbox system.

We'd like to see what EA's going to do with Fallen Order II. Let's wait for official confirmation from Respawn Entertainment.
