Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the Fastest Selling Digital Launch for EA

The launch of Star Wars Battlefront II has got to be one of the most disastrous for EA, so when it came to the release of Jedi: Fallen Order, you can bet that the company was going to make sure they got things right. The good news is, they did, and the Fallen Order has come out to be a massive success.

According to BusinessWire, EA has just announced that Fallen Order is their fastest-selling digital launch for a Star Wars game in the span of just two weeks. What's more, it's also the highest-selling Star Wars title for PC. Head of Respawn Vince Zampella had this to say about Fallen Order's success:

On behalf of Respawn and EA, we thank everyone for their support of the studio and the team throughout the development and launch of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Telling a story in the Star Wars galaxy is a dream come true and the reception from the fans has been incredible… With the launch of the game, the debut of The Mandalorian and the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it's a great time to be a Star Wars fan!

I'll admit it's probably easy for Fallen Order to come out on top counting that it mainly has only Battlefront titles to compete with, but this success could usher in a new generation of Star Wars games. Besides the TROS expansion coming to Battlefront II, LEGO is also looking to release a revamped Star Wars game with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

For now, fans are just happy that EA was able to deliver something great for one of the biggest IPs that they own. Then again, EA isn't in the clear yet, and fans are waiting for more solid releases like this one before they can stop criticizing the company.
