It looks like Obi-Wan Kenobi will be reunited with an old friend in the upcoming Disney+ series. A new report reveals that the Star Wars show could bring back Jar Jar Binks.
The report comes from Making Star Wars, which also offers interesting details about Jar Jar's appearance in the Obi-Wan series.
"Kenobi crosses paths with his old friend from Naboo, Jar Jar Binks. Early work has been conducted for the CGI Gungan's return to Star Wars. Jar Jar has a beard to reflect where he's been and what his life has been like since they were all deceived by a great lie that ushered in the first Galactic Empire," the report reads.
It sounds like we'll be seeing an older (and hopefully, wiser) Jar Jar in the new show and there could be a major discussion about what happened right after the Galactic Empire was established. We're still not sure what happened to Jar Jar after he somehow made it possible for Palpatine would be declared the new Emperor but it looks like we'll find out soon enough.
But what are the chances that Ewan McGregor will be reunited with prequel trilogy co-star Ahmed Best? It's still unclear if Best will reprise his role as the Gungan but we're hoping to get an update really soon.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be directed by The Mandalorian's Deborah Chow. So far, McGregor has been the only star confirmed for the show. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
