Darth Vader will forever go down as one of the most iconic, if not the most iconic villain in Star Wars lore but we all know for a fact that his prophecy as Anakin Skywalker aka the "chosen one" was never actually fulfilled. The once Jedi Master aspirant was lured to the dark side by the Empire and would wreak havoc in the galaxy for years until his son Luke stepped into the scene.

Anakin did redeem himself when he "killed" Palpatine in Return of the Jedi but still, the question remains: what if Anakin didn't succumb to the dark side in the first place? Instagram digital artist @uzuriart recently unveiled an amazing artwork imagining how Ani would have looked like as a Jedi Master and it's an idea we wouldn't mind getting explored in a future Star Wars project. This is why Lucasfilm needs to develop a project similar to Marvel Studios' What If...? show which will give fans an alternate look at some of the Star Wars franchise's most iconic moments. The entire concept worked for the MCU so I don't see why it wouldn't deliver the same results for Star Wars.

I mean, could you imagine if the roles were actually reversed with Obi-Wan Kenobi becoming Darth Vader and Anakin completing his quest as the "chosen one"? I'd pay good money to see that and I'm sure a lot of fans would as well. With the production company continuing to expand the franchise through Disney+, this one should be a no-brainer.

Meanwhile, Star Wars' latest series Andor is streaming on Disney+.
