Agent Alexsandr Kallus is undoubtedly one of the most popular characters from Star Wars Rebels and it's partly because, well, he's so hot, isn't he? Not surprisingly, fans have high expectations when it comes to Hot Kallus and voice actor David Oyelowo reveals that most of them are "disappointed" when they finally get to meet him.
Oyelowo provided the voice of Kallus in all four seasons of Star Wars Rebels and he told People that he had always wanted to play someone who is physically different from him.
"It's always been my ambition to play a white, ginger guy," Oyelowo joked.
All kidding aside, Oyelowo was pleased with how well fans accepted his character, thus leading to Kallus' nickname. Unfortunately, it also surprises people when they finally get to meet him.
"The weird thing that happened during Star Wars Rebels was that my character took this kind of unexpected evolution where he went from being this guy to what became popularly known as 'Hot Kallus.' They kind of let his hair down a little bit more, he grew out the sideburns a bit. I think I was just a perpetual disappointment when the fans would meet me. They'd go, 'Oh my God, this guy is Hot Kallus,' and I'd go, 'Hi, I'm David Oyelowo, and I'm Hot Kallus, I guess?'" Oyelowo said.
Sure, Oyelowo doesn't look anything like a "white, ginger guy" but he played Kallus so perfectly that nobody should be complaining in the first place.
Although it's still unclear if we'll get to see Kallus again sometime in the future, we're happy to know that he's found a happy ending living with Garazeb 'Zeb' Orrelios in Lira San.
