Death certainly isn't the end for Force users. While a Jedi eventually becomes one with the Force when they perish and become Force Ghosts, it seems like they still aren't safe from the Sith.

As pointed out by Screenrant, Star Wars reveals that the Sith are able to capture Force Ghosts. While those on the light side become Force Ghosts, they are still able to affect the real world, as revealed in Star Wars: The Last Jedi where Yoda summons elemental lightning. The ability to do this even when they are Force Ghosts makes them a big threat to Sith Lords. However, in George Mann's recently-published Star Wars: Dark Legends, it was hinted that the ancient Sith found a way to deal with them.

Dark Legends is a short story collection of in-universe myths, but the outlet says Lucasfilm has pointed out that the collection "contains a grain of truth." In "The Gilded Cage," it tells a story of the war between the Nightsisters and the Sith Lord Darth Caldoth.

The Nightsisters attempted to lure Caldoth into a battle, seemingly, with a Force Ghost. However, the Sith Lord found out what they were doing, so he performed a ritual that trapped the Force Ghost inside a vial. He then closed it off and walked away with it.

This particular short story suggests that the ancient Sith were aware of the Jedi Force Ghosts and have seemingly found a way to trap them. Ironically, the said story suggests this dark ritual was even stolen from the Nightsisters themselves.

Fortunately, it seems like this ancient dark ritual has long been forgotten, so there couldn't be a way for the Sith to capture the Jedi Force Ghosts if they saw the opportunity.
