Star Wars: Here's How the First Order Got Personal With Rebellion Leaders

The Skywalker Saga may be over but we continue to learn new things about the films. One of the stunning revelations from The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is how the First Order got personal with the leaders of the Rebellion. Interestingly, it looks like the villains chose its recruits specifically because of their parentage.

The new book The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker features more than just images and illustrations from the film. It also has interviews with the people behind the film including co-screenwriter Chris Terrio, who revealed that the First Order had a nasty plan to get back at the Rebellion (via Comicbook.com).

"The first people that the First Order targeted were leaders of the old Rebellion; they went for their kids," Terrio shared. "They went for Lando's daughter. They went for Ben Solo, which begins to make more sense when you look at the wider context of their machinations — the long-term plan."

It's interesting that Terrio mentioned Lando Calrissian considering that the novelization of The Rise of Skywalker revealed that his infant daughter was taken by the First Order. In addition to that, the film itself suggested that Lando believes Jannah is his lost child. Needless to say, the First Order was really out for revenge and they found the best way to hurt the Rebellion.
