Get to Know Some of the Writers Participating in the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Book

In case you missed it, Star Wars has found an awesome way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. The new book From A Certain Point of View will feature 40 amazing new stories that are, naturally, taken from the point of view of different characters in the Star Wars Universe. Although the full list of writers who have taken part in the book has not yet been revealed, some authors are already confirming their participation.

One of the notable names confirmed for the Star Wars book is Gary Whitta, who has previously worked on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Whitta expressed his excitement for From A Certain Point of View in a tweet.

Interestingly, Whitta isn't the only writer celebrating the announcement. The likes of Amy Ratcliffe, Austin Walker, and Lydia Kang tweeted about the book as well.

There's another good reason to look forward to the book. According to Starwars.com, "all participating authors have generously forgone any compensation for their stories. Instead, their proceeds will be donated to First Book — a leading nonprofit that provides new books, learning materials, and other essentials to educators and organizations serving children in need." Needless to say, this is an amazing publication to look forward to.

From A Certain Point of View will be released in November.
