Star Wars: Harrison Ford Reveals How Original Trilogy Crew Made Fun of the Cast

It might be a huge franchise now but there was a time when Star Wars was just a little science fiction film in the 1970s. Interestingly, Harrison Ford has just revealed that the crew working on A New Hope used to make fun of him and his co-stars.

Ford is currently promoting his new movie The Call of the Wild when he sat down with Buzzfeed for an interview featuring several adorable little puppies. During the interview, the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor had to answer some questions, one of which asked about his favorite behind-the-scenes memory from Star Wars. His surprising answer was, "The complete and utter disdain that our very experienced British crew felt for what we were doing."

"They couldn't figure it out," Ford explained. "Guy running around in a dog suit and princess and some guys in tight pants. They couldn't figure out what we were doing, so they laughed at us constantly, thought we were ridiculous. And we were, but we made a movie that people really enjoyed seeing."

Come to think of it, that's exactly what A New Hope is all about. However, it's still good to know that Ford, Mark Hamill, and the late Carrie Fisher didn't let the teasing bother them too much. As a result, Star Wars became a successful franchise created by George Lucas.

Catch Ford in The Call of the Wild, which is currently screening in theaters worldwide. You can also get a glimpse of him as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which will be available on digital on March 17th and on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 31st.
