Star Wars: George Lucas Reportedly Approves of The Mandalorian

There is little doubt that The Mandalorian is one of the most anticipated shows of 2019. However, fans now have another reason to look forward to it. Star Wars creator George Lucas reportedly approves of the upcoming Disney+ series.

The confirmation comes from Disney CEO Bob Iger, who recently spoke about the show with Bloomberg News. Iger gushed about The Mandalorian, admitting that he has seen the episodes several times.

"I've probably seen each episode of The Mandalorian three times," Iger said. "First, to give some notes. Second, to see the rough cut and the impact of the notes. And now, just recently, I watched all the final cuts so that I could be blown away by how it looks."

Interestingly, Iger isn't the only one who is loving the series. When pressed on what Lucas thought of The Mandalorian, Iger had an enigmatic response.

"George has been fine," he said.

OK, so that's not exactly a beaming reaction to the show but Lucas has been involved with The Mandalorian from the start. The Star Wars creator had visited the set and appears to be getting along well with executive producer Jon Favreau. With that in mind, we already have huge expectations of the Disney+ series.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character who gets involved with a group of bounty hunters. There's action, some mystery, and a lot of Star Wars Easter Eggs to look forward to and we can't wait until the show's premiere.

The Mandalorian premieres on Disney+ on November 12.
