Star Wars Game is Getting a Special Edition on Nintendo Switch

The video game company Aspyr brought Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic to Nintendo Switch earlier this month. The game was originally released on Xbox back in 2003, where it was considered as one of the best Star Wars media ever made. Recently, publisher Limited Run Games announced a physical media release, and buyers will have a lot of options to choose from. The base game can be bought for $34.99, but for other hardcore fans, you can check out a Premium Edition for $89.99, or a Master Edition for $174.99. The latter two choices come with a lot of extras.

For those who are planning to buy the Premium Edition, it includes a commemorative coin, a SteelBook, an Ebon Hawk metal pin, a poster, art cars, and a certificate of authenticity. The Master Edition includes all of the other options, it also includes a Vibroblade letter opener, a replica Pazaak set, a pair of Darth Revan Hilt replicas, concept art lithographs, a hardcover strategy guide, and a “throwback case.”The throwback case is designed to look like a case for the original Xbox. it is a neat extra and it helps pay tribute to the history of the game.

There will be other options that will be available for PC users. Pre-orders for all of the versions of Knights of the Old Republic will start on November 19th at 10 a.m. ET. The pre-order window will close on January 2nd, so fans will have a lot of time to decide which version they want to buy. Manufacturing for the contents in both Master and Premium Editions will most likely take a few months, but for hardcore fans of the game, it should be worth it. And for those who haven’t played Knights of the Old Republic, a few extra time probably won’t seem that long.
