Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Watch the Full Walkthrough for the Lightsaber Workshop

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge just opened last weekend, and one of the main attractions is Savi’s Workshop which invites guests to build their own battle-ready lightsabers. Thanks to the Los Angeles Times, we have a full walkthrough of the attraction, and it gives us a look at what to expect when you build your own lightsaber.

Admittedly, I think it’s corny that there’s someone in the middle of the workshop doing some kind of spiel on how elegant lightsabers are, but I guess it adds a whole new level of immersion for guests. I’m sure the kids will love it, as well as some die-hard Star Wars fans.

Besides the lightsaber workshop, the park also has a place where you can build remote-controlled droids called the Droid Depot. They don’t actually make kids build 1:1 scale droids, but I guess it’s cool to have some BB and R2 units that were specially made by you that you can bring home.

For now, Galaxy’s Edge is getting nothing but great reviews online, and it’s likely to be one of the more popular attractions at the Disneyland Resort. We’re already getting individual rides for Marvel Studios films, so it’s only a matter of time before Disney jumps in on a whole MCU park.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is now open at the Disneyland Resort.
