Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Has An Amazing George Lucas Easter Egg

There is little doubt that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has so many awesome things to see and experience. However, it looks like the new Disneyland attraction isn't strictly operating in the Star Wars Universe. An awesome Easter Egg has been uncovered and it appears to be a direct reference to George Lucas' other works.

The guys at Screen Rant recently attended the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and were understandably delighted with a particular location in the Black Spire area. The spot is called Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities and it features an awesome collection of rare lightsabers and other weapons. In addition to that, it has some amazing artifacts from the Star Wars Universe. But wait, what's that?

Did you see something familiar when the camera zoomed in? According to the report, it appears to be the Ark of the Covenant from Raiders of the Lost Ark. It looks like Dok-Andar may have acquired the artifact and hidden it away in his shop.

It's an awesome Easter Egg that suggests that Indiana Jones actually exists in the Star Wars Universe. Or perhaps it's a tribute to George Lucas. Either way, the Ark of the Covenant is certainly something we would love to discover when visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

The attraction's opening at Disneyland was truly an eventful one. Harrison Ford, who played both Indiana Jones and Han Solo, was on hand to start up the Millennium Falcon. Ford dedicated the opening to late Star Wars actor Peter Mayhew.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is now open at Disneyland.
