Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Begins To Take Shape In New Photos

Star Wars fans certainly have a lot to look forward to next year. Not only is Lucasfilm preparing the third and final chapter in its sequel trilogy, Star Wars: Episode IX, but Disney has also been busy gearing up to open the gates of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the brand new Star Wars theme park being developed at Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Park, and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Now, it looks like the Daily Mail has a brand new set of photos taken from Lake Buena Vista that help give fans an idea of what to expect from Disney's upcoming Star Wars theme park. Showing off all sorts of spaceships, alien architecture, and rocky landscape, work on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge seems to be coming along pretty well.

Aside from these new photos, there haven't been that many major updates regarding Galaxy's edge except for rumors that legendary composer John Williams would be working on music for the Star Wars attraction and its various rides.

Still, it seems like Disney Parks has been keeping busy the past few months, and we're hoping that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens early next year, perhaps sometime in the first quarter of 2019. Star Wars fans need something to help tide them over till Episode IX's release, and what better to distract them than a Star Wars theme park?

Star Wars: Episode IX hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
