Star Wars Finally Debunks Luke Skywalker's Return of the Jedi Mystery

There is no shortage of mysteries when it comes to the Skywalker Saga. For instance, we're still wondering how Maz Kanata managed to procure Anakin Skywalker's old lightsaber after it was dropped somewhere in Cloud City. However, we now know how Luke Skywalker managed to get something he left behind in The Empire Strikes Back, thanks to the new Star Wars comic book.

In The Empire Strikes Back, Luke decided to quit his training in Dagobah to help Han Solo, Chewbacca and Princess Leia Organa in Cloud City. With the help of Yoda, he manages to get his X-Wing out of the swamp and successfully flies out to save his friends. Although we know that this is how Luke gets to Cloud City, he ends up leaving the X-Wing behind because of an unfortunate incident involving Darth Vader (you know what I mean). However, Luke is miraculously reunited with the X-Wing when he returns in Return of the Jedi.

So how exactly did Luke manage to get his old X-Wing back? We got the answer from Star Wars #4 where Lando Calrissian reveals he is planning to return to Cloud City (via Screenrant). Interestingly, the exchange with Luke confirms that the Jedi is ready to help so he could get his X-Wing back and get his own sister Leia out of carbonite.

It's interesting to note that the comics is solving several mysteries from the original trilogy. Perhaps we'll also find out just how Maz got her hands on the lightsaber soon enough.
