Star Wars Fans React to The Mandalorian’s First Episode

Disney+ just recently launched today, and together with Disney's new streaming site, Jon Favreau's highly anticipated Star Wars: The Mandalorian made its debut.

The first episode of The Mandalorian made its premiere today and fans have been busy discussing the pilot on social media. Not only have journalists been praising the series' very first episode, but they've also been talking endlessly about the episode's twists and surprises.

Check out some of the reactions to The Mandalorian premiere down here:

It looks like Star Wars fans are liking The Mandalorian so far. We've seen the first episode as well, and though we have a few gripes with the film's CGI and music, the pilot has a lot of great moments. It's a pretty fun series, and viewers can't help but fall in love with its wit and humor.

The synopsis for the series describes The Mandalorian as a show that features the story of a lone warrior coming after the stories of popular Mandalorian bounty hunters like Jango and Boba Fett. Set after the fall of the Empire and the emergence of the First Order, The Mandalorian takes Star Wars fans on the adventure of a solitary gunfighter in the outer reaches of Star Wars' galaxy far, far away.

Pedro Pascal stars as the titular character and he is joined by Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, Ming-Na Wen, Taika Waititi, Werner Herzog, Giancarlo Esposito, and Bill Burr.

Created by Iron Man and Jungle Book director Jon Favreau, the series has Dave Filoni, Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow as its episode directors.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian's pilot episode is available for streaming on Disney+.
