There's no denying that Boba Fett is one of the most beloved figures in the Star Wars franchise and while he doesn't belong in the same echelon as characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, the bounty hunter has generated quite a cult following since he made his official debut in 1979's Star Wars Holiday Special and continues to be a sentimental favorite amongst diehard fans.

I mean, it can't be denied just how badass Boba actually is but surprisingly enough, a lot of fans don't see where his appeal is coming from. On Reddit, Boba's popularity became a hot topic of discussion and many are bewildered as to why he continues to be a favorite despite his minimal involvement in the original trilogy.

Fans of the Boba Fett character quickly came to the bounty hunter's defense and explained why he remains one of the galaxy's most popular characters. Unanimously, the folks who answered the now-viral subreddit said that Boba simply looked "cool" and the intrigue surrounding his identity added to his mystique and badassery.

Currently, Boba is a main fixture in the MandoVerse and even had his own series. We don't know for sure what Lucasfilm has in store for the character, especially in the upcoming season of The Mandalorian but I think most fans will agree that he needs to be taken back to his badass roots because frankly, Disney has presented us with a watered-down version of the once "cool" bounty hunter.

Meanwhile, all episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are available for streaming on Disney+.
