Star Wars Fanart Imagines Ahsoka Telling Luke and Leia about Anakin

Star Wars Rebels may have given the fate of Ahsoka Tano an open end, but with her age and significance to the Rebellion, it was only a matter of time before she ran into the Skywalker twins. This great piece of fanart from Daniel de Almeida e Silva imagines an encounter between the remaining Skywalkers and Anakin's old padawan.

I love how the piece says so much in one scene. For one, you have the Skywalkers in the cockpit of the Falcon with Han's dice hanging in the foreground. You also have Leia holding who appears to be a young Ben Solo, and I'm guessing her stern expression is digesting the new revelation that Vader was her father.

With Luke barely knowing his father, it would make sense that it would be Ahsoka to explain to him what Anakin was like before his fall to the Dark Side. I also can't help but think it's foreshadowing that little Ben would be so happy about the image of Anakin—given that he grows to have an obsession with Darth Vader in his adulthood.

Will we ever get a scene like this in the series or films? It's hard to tell. At best we could have it take place in the comic. Dave Filoni was teasing something for Ahsoka earlier, and an encounter with the Skywalkers won't be so farfetched.

For now, fans are waiting for the release of Star Wars Episode IX which is slated to hit theaters Dec. 20, 2019.
