The Star Wars franchise has had its ups and downs. Sure, the galaxy far, far away may be one of the largest and most popular film franchises in Hollywood history, but Star Wars does have its mistakes, and it looks like fans have been pointing out one of the most obvious mistakes in Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Taking to Reddit, a Star Wars fan decided to share a scene from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that they think is "without a doubt, one of, if not the dumbest moment in all of SW" and it looks like the rest of the Star Wars fanbase agrees because the post has received more than 74,000 points and 6900 comments on the social media site.

In the post, fans get to see this particular moment in The Rise of Skywalker where Rey (Daisy Ridley) and her team try to visit the ruins of the Death Star to find a Sith Wayfinder that might help lead the team to Exegol, Palpatine's dark planet.

To find the Wayfinder Rey makes use of a Sith Dagger, and surprise, surprise, the heroine uses the Sith relic as a protractor to help find the specific place where the Wayfinder's been hidden.

Fans were frustrated with this particular moment in Episode IX. Redditor Jinreeko puts the frustration into words saying how wonderfully stupid it was for this moment which "literally relied upon the Death Star ruins existing in the shape of its little tape measure."

It's ridiculous. Of course, one has to remember that The Rise of Skywalker didn't really do well among fans and critics.
