Star Wars: Ewan McGregor Says He Hasn't Heard of Any Obi-Wan Movie Plans

While fans have been content with the Star Wars spin-offs thus far, the one spin-off people want to see is an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie. Fans have wanted to see what happened to the Jedi during the period set after Revenge of the Sith and before A New Hope. Considering how many years pass during that period, the possibilities are endless for Obi-Wan's solo adventure.

Ewan McGregor, the most recent actor who played Obi-Wan and arguably the best part of the prequel trilogy, was recently asked by Express about the movie everyone wants to happen. While McGregor is down to play as Obi-Wan again, he stated that he hasn't heard anything about a movie for the character.

"I would totally do it, of course. There's no plans as such to do it, as far as I know."

Reports have claimed that any Star Wars spin-offs have been put on hold after Solo: A Star Wars Story didn't do too well in the box office. This is a shame if it were true since there were rumors about a Boba Fett movie directed by James Mangold of Logan fame. Plus, this could be the reason why we haven't heard much about the potential film.

It looks like we'll have to wait for Star Wars Episode IX and the upcoming trilogy from Rian Johnson for more content based on the franchise. Here is hoping that Disney and Lucasfilm will be open to spin-offs again after Episode IX.

Star Wars Episode IX comes out on December 20.
