Star Wars: Ewan McGregor Reveals How He is Preparing for Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

It may still be a long time before we'll get to see the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. However, Ewan McGregor has revealed that he is already preparing for the upcoming Star Wars show in the most awesome way possible.

McGregor was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new film Birds of Prey. Not surprisingly, the conversation moved to Star Wars and McGregor admitted that he's getting ready to return as Obi-Wan by watching a certain Disney+ show.

"I've been watching The Mandalorian. I liked it. I really liked it," he said.

First of all, The Mandalorian is probably the best Star Wars project out there right now so we're not surprised that McGregor enjoyed watching it. However, he was also quick to point out that he has yet to see all of the sequel trilogy movies.

"I'm just trying to keep abreast of all the new Star Wars films that come out. And I'm excited about it," McGregor said.

Interestingly, the Trainspotting actor confessed he needs to catch up on all things Star Wars because it's been a long time since he worked on the franchise.

"It's been a long time. I can't remember when the last one I did. 2003 I think was the last one I did," McGregor stated.

We're not too worried about that right now. After all, McGregor still has a lot of time to catch up on the franchise. In the meantime, we're hoping to get some cool new updates on the Obi-Wan series soon.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is expected to begin production in 2021.
