Star Wars: Episode IX’s Oscar Isaac Says There Are More Scenes Between Finn And Poe

Lucasfilm might not have released the trailer or the title for Star Wars: Episode IX just yet, but at least Star Wars fans have Oscar Isaac to keep the hype going with little hints about the third and final film in the new Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Last weekend, Isaac discussed his character's ongoing bond with General Organa in Episode IX. He also talked about Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher, saying that it was only right that Lucasfilm would bring Princess Leia back into Episode IX, refusing to let her just fade away.

Yesterday, Isaac also teased C-3PO's role in the film, saying that the droid would have a bigger part in the film.

Now, Isaac talks about Poe and Finn (John Boyega), revealing that the two Star Wars sequel trilogy heroes are going to share more scenes in Episode IX. Speaking in an interview with Metro, OIsaac admitted that he has a lot more screen time with Boyega in the upcoming Star Wars film than any other entry.

"I think the one thing I can say is that it has been the most fun for me, particularly working with John Boyega because we have just had so much more to do together and we just really connected in a great way," Isaac shared with the publication, "It was really a wonderful way to finish it for me because John was the first person I met right when I screen-tested. It was just with me and him. So it just felt like a real full-circle thing."

Fans do expect Episode IX to come to a full circle. Not only will the film serve as the final chapter to the sequel trilogy, but it will also serve as the culmination of the Skywalker saga. That's a lot to ride on in a film.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
