Star Wars Episode IX's Mark Hamill Shares New Details About Knightfall Character Talus

We already know and love Mark Hamill as the lightsaber-wielding Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films. Now the Star Wars: Episode IX actor is sharing some interesting details about his new character in the second season of Knightfall and it sounds like Talus has a lot in common with Luke.

Hamill recently shared a new photo of Talus on his official Twitter account. In addition to that, he pointed out the similarities between Talus and Luke before admitting that the Knightfall character is also completely different. Take a look at his tweet below.

"@KnightfallShow is unlike any show I've ever done... And TALUS is unlike any character I've ever played. See for yourself: Monday March 25th on @HISTORY," Hamill wrote.

In the series, Talus is an old Templar veteran of the Crusades who had lived through a decade of captivity in the Middle East. After a long absence, he is now tasked with training younger knights. Not surprisingly, the character's story sounds a lot like Luke's but we're pretty sure that Talus doesn't use the Force.

Although we already know a lot about Talus, we're still wondering what will happen to Luke in Episode IX. There are speculations that the character will actually be more than just a Force ghost. Hamill could appear in a flashback sequence or perhaps even be miraculously resurrected. Either way, we're looking forward to seeing Luke one more time before the end of the Skywalker Saga.

Knightfall Season 2 will air on History on March 25. Star Wars: Episode IX premieres on December 20.
