Star Wars: Episode IX’s Mark Hamill Asks John Boyega To Stop Spreading Spoilers

Lucasfilm might have some pretty strict methods in place to keep Star Wars: Episode IX spoilers leaking out online, but that hasn't stopped stars like John Boyega from making fun of the susceptible Star Wars fanbase.

Yesterday, a Star Wars fan got up the guts to ask the Star Wars sequel trilogy actor how Episode IX would end, and Boyega decided to indulge him. Taking to Twitter, Star Wars: The Last Jedi's Finn replied and said that the third and final installment in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy would end the way all the other Star Wars saga movies have ended with the film fading to black and the credits going up.

It's a pretty funny and safe response, one that's managed to catch the eye of a notorious Star Wars legend. Seeing Boyega's witty little prank, Star Wars' Luke Skywalker decided to join in on the fun by retweeting his co-star's post telling his "son" to keep the spoilers down a notch.

Check out Mark Hamill's tweet down here:

Hamill has always been a huge joker (pun intended) who has no hesitation in making fun of the Star Wars fanbase. Riding on fans ridiculous theories and speculation for The Last Jedi, Hamill told fans that Luke would turn to the Dark Side because he was placed in the background of a poster. At one time, he also made fans who believed that Daisy Ridley's Rey would be revealed as his daughter, calling Boyega his son on Twitter.

We wonder what other jokes Hamill might play now that Episode IX is on the way.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
