Star Wars: Episode IX’s Anthony Daniels Gives Fans Another Mysterious Tease

Could Lucasfilm be planning to drop something big for Star Wars: Episode IX's marketing campaign any time soon? Sure, the studio might have missed out on the chance of unveiling Episode IX's new teaser during the NFL's Super Bowl weekend, but word has it that Lucasfilm is planning a title drop soon.

Earlier this week legendary C-3PO star Anthony Daniels shared a cryptic message on Twitter about some exiting news, and while he didn't explicitly name Star Wars in his post, fans assumed the actor's Tweet had something to do with Episode IX.

Now, Daniels has another mysterious tweet for fans to decipher. Though fans hope that Daniels might be referring to major details about Lucasfilm's third and final sequel trilogy installment, the actor says that the news doesn't really seem to be about a movie title or trailer instead about something else.

"Everyone- except one - is looking the wrong way ... But it's getting closer... Amazing... Doesn't seem to be the right shape for a movie title or trailer... Can't see an X or anything... Oh... The signal's faded... I'm sure it'll return... What can it be... Stay tuned... I will," Daniels wrote.

While the actor denies that his previous tweet was referring to news about Episode IX's title or trailer drop, the line saying that he actually can't "see an x or anything" seems to imply something just as important, especially when Daniels tells us to stay tuned.

What exactly could Daniels mean? Will Lucasfilm give us first look photos? Will the studio drop another major announcement?

Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: Episode IX is set to premiere on December 20, 2019.
