Star Wars: Episode IX and Avengers: Endgame are coming out to be two of the most anticipated movies of the year, and though we have promos for Endgame already, we haven't got a single promo for EPIX. What's interesting is, we may have confirmation that the first teaser released will be related to the release of Avengers: Endgame.
According to Star Wars News Net, a reliable source has said that the first teaser for Episode IX will be coming out in April, the same month that Endgame releases. It's worth noting that Star Wars Celebration also takes place in the same month, and it will happen way earlier than Endgame's premiere. It's likely the teaser will be screened in Celebration and that we could get the official online release sometime around Endgame's premiere date near the 26th.
Personally, I think the trailer will release online the same time it does on Celebration. Everyone is getting thirsty for news on Episode IX, and withholding the first teaser for the fans who can't attend Celebration kind of sounds like some cruel joke.
Then again, this is all just speculation on my part. If the source is as reliable as the site claims, then we could be getting the teaser around the release of Endgame. I just think that Disney would want all the focus on that movie and not want attention to be split between the two films—much like what happened with Solo and Infinity War.
Catch Avengers: Endgame in theaters April 26 and Star Wars Episode IX on Dec. 20.
