Star Wars Episode IX: Mark Hamill Teases Clean-Shaven Look Before Getting Back to 'Work'

Luke Skywalker may have died by the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but it's been announced that he'll be making a comeback in Star Wars Episode IX. Production is currently underway for the movie, and Hamill has recently shared this photo of himself clean-shaven before going back to ‘work.'

Check it out:

Throughout the entire sequel trilogy, we've only ever seen Luke with a beard, but we also know that Force Ghosts have a tendency to change appearance. Heck, Vader turned into Hayden Christensen right at the end (in the latest edition at least).

Then again, Lucasfilm can just slap a beard on Hamill's face for production. That or they can CGI it in. I'll be fine as long as Luke looks like himself.

We don't know to what capacity Luke will be in the film, but we do know that Leia will still be alive in the form of unused footage for TFA and TLJ. Besides bringing back Luke and Leia for IX, we're also meeting one more legacy character in the film, Billy Dee Williams' Lando Calrissian.

We don't know when we're going to get our first look at the movie, but it's a good guess that we'll get our first teaser dropped during Star Wars Celebration early next year.

Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20, 2019.
