Star Wars: The Last Jedi had revealed what happened to Luke Skywalker's T-65 X-Wing, but there's a chance that it could be appearing in Star Wars Episode IX.
This was posted on Reddit, with a caption that says it was spotted in the wild:

Seeing that Luke's X-Wing is clearly in shambles, it's likely that this fighter will just be a classic X-Wing and will be piloted by someone else. Wedge Antilles has always been a fan favorite character, but actor Denis Lawson had refused to appear in The Force Awakens. Maybe he had a change of heart and is going to be piloting an old X-Wing in Episode IX?
It's also possible that this could be preparing for a flashback sequence. Maybe we could have a look at Luke before he flies off to Ach-To. I would love to see an older Mark Hamill wearing the classic X-Wing garb.
Besides that, some think that this X-Wing could also be used for a possible return to the Jakku ‘Graveyard.' Though I wouldn't mind a return to the planet, I'd personally rather see an old X-Wing fly than to just have it laying around with other discarded ships.
That's just my opinion anyway.
Until we get confirmation, everything here is just a rumor for now. Hopefully, we get some big reveals come Star Wars Celebration in April.
Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20.
