One might imagine that there'd be very little room left for romance in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker seeing how the film has to squeeze Emperor Palpatine's return, Rey's (Daisy Ridley) confrontation with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver, and the battle between the Resistance and the First Order, all together. However, fans are still hoping to see Episode IX address the chemistry between Rey and Kylo Ren - if not the two, then Finn (John Boyega) and Rey, or at least Finn and Poe (Oscar Isaac).
A new leak from The Rise of Skywalker suggests that the film's going to feature at least one kiss. Unfortunately, it's not going to be between Rey and Kylo Ren.
According to a new leak from Making Star Wars, Episode IX is going to include at least once kiss, unfortunately, it seems like the intimate moment is going to be shared by characters that fans don't really care about. This means that the kiss won't be between anyone from the original trilogy, and possibly none of the four leads of Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel movies.
Perhaps this kiss is going to be shared by side characters in the movie. Perhaps its a kiss shared by droids. Or no-name Resistance pilots that are heading out to battle against the First Order.
We're hoping that the leak is proven wrong and we get a few intimate moments from lead characters in Episode IX. There was a whole lot of chemistry between Rey and Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It would be such a waste if The Rise of Skywalker refused to address that spark between the two.
