It's no secret that Kylo Ren idolizes Darth Vader and would do anything to be as powerful as the Sith Lord. So will the former Ben Solo discover Vader's dark secret when he heads to Mustafar in Star Wars: Episode IX?
It was previously reported that Kylo Ren will share a disturbing scene with Darth Vader in the highly anticipated film. The sequence will allow Kylo to get a glimpse at how Anakin Skywalker painfully dons his armor in his castle in Mustafar. However, the vision is expected to convince Kylo that he needs to visit the planet and find the source of Vader's dark powers (via Express).
Fans recently learned more about Vader in the comic book Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 22: Fortress Vader Part IV. It was revealed that Palpatine had presented Vader with the Mask of Lord Momin, which influenced him on how to create his castle. Interestingly, Momin's lifeforce was so strong in the mask that it successfully murdered the castle's original architect.
There are speculations that Kylo will realize that the Mask of Lord Momin could help him become more powerful. This would then lead to Kylo bringing the Knights of Ren to explore the castle in search of the mask.
It's an interesting theory as to why Kylo would go to Mustafar in Episode IX. His desire to learn Vader's secrets and quest for more power might eventually lead to another epic duel on the planet. However, this is based on theory so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
