Star Wars Drops Exciting New Reveal Video For Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge

Star Wars fans are in for a treat today because Lucasfilm has just released an exciting new video for Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge.

Developed by ILMx LAB in collaboration with Oculus Quest, Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is an action-adventure VR set between the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. A tie-in to Disney's Star Wars theme park, Galaxy's Edge, the new VR videogame involves the planet of Batuu and the Black Spire Outpost.

The new behind-the-scenes video for Tales from the Galaxy's Edge reveals details to the game's story and cast.

Acclaimed comedian and actor Bobby Moynihan from Saturday Night Live and Star Wars Resistance is set to play the role of Seezelslak, a bartender central to the game's story.

A frustrated storyteller, Seezelslak will offer games stories that "give you a gateway into the world of Galaxy's Edge."

"He's a little kooky," says Moynihan. "Maybe being alone and not having a lot of customers has affected him…"

Mad TV and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order voice actress Debra Wilson has also been cast in the game, taking on the role of Tara Rashin, a headstrong Querren pirate who leads Guavian Death Gang operatives on the planet of Batuu.

"She runs a tight ship, literally and figuratively," Wilson says. "And when she has a goal, she will not take no for an answer and she will never relent."

In The Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, gamers take on the role of a droid repair technician who finds himself/herself crash landing on Batu right after a pirate attack. ILMxLAB promises fans true Star Wars immersion that allows gamers to get swept into a grand adventure on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is set to launch later this year on Oculus Quest.
